Oct. 3, 2009. Flaming Moose wins the 2009 Murphy's Quiznight Championships in
Zoetermeer. 226 teams couldn't stop us from winning our fourth major and 7th

And the winner is...
The 2009 Quiznight Finals marked the seventh time FM won either one of
the "big two" in Dutch quizzing. Both annual finals are organized by
Spacejunk
Entertainment and sponsored by Murphy's, and are known for their fierce
competition and tough questions. It's not without pride we say we are extremely
happy with our victory record!

History of the name
People ask us the same question over and over. "How did you come up with the name Flaming Moose?' It's a funny story (at least, we think). Way back in 1998, when two of the three team members at that time
were big fans of The Simpsons, the name Flaming Moe's was chosen. However, when after three tries
(then quizmaster) Davy still thought we said "Flaming Moose", we gave up. Good thing too,
because that name is actually much better. It would even provide us with
