It was a nice tuesday evening in the spring of 1998. Chris and BJ had just finished moving some of Chris' stuff from the second floor to the first floor in the apartment where Chris was going to live. It was hard work, and hard work makes people thirsty. At least, that was that evening's excuse for a visit to the Fiddler and Firkin. They ordered a beer and sat down. Hey, someting's going on. Seemed to be some kind of quiz. "Question number eight: What's the favorite food of the Teenage mutant hero turtles?" Chris couldn't contain his enthousiasm caused by his knowing the answer to this question, and shouted out just a bit too loud: "Pizza!" (why anyone would admit to knowing this when they're not involved in the quiz is beyond me). Would later Moose Vincent have been part of another team, he probably would've tried to strangle Chris - some people have a higher level of tolerance for these kinds of incidents. The quiz master, Mark, advised all teams to write down "Pizza", so Chris had made his first impression on the quiz-community, effectively by getting a question eliminated. Way to go Chris.

It turned out to be the start of a new quiz team, because one (or two, or three, we really don't have a clue anymore) weeks later, BJ and Chris would arrive at the Fiddler and Firkin on time for a quiz, and for the first time they would participate in a quiz under the name "Amazing Tukkers", named after the wonderful people living in one of the most beautiful regions of the Netherlands, Twente.
